GUWAHATI, Feb 23: TV actor Rakhi Sawant has responded to summons issued to her by Maharashtra Cyber Cell in connection with the vulgar comments made by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia in Samay Raina‘s online show India’s Got Latent. The actor, who has had a history of courting controversies, however, said that she went to one of the episodes since she was invited but made no controversial comments and also did she abuse anyone.

The actor had appeared as a panellist in Raina’s show along with Mandeep Singh and Ashish Solanki.

She also offered her displeasure at being told to be present in person and said they could have video-called her.

“I was invited and was paid for it. I did my job. That’s it. I haven’t abused anyone. So what’s the point in calling me,” she said in a video posted online.

Claiming that authorities should look into pending cases of rape and other crimes against girls and women, Rakhi said: “There are pending rape cases and that’s what authorities should look into and solve them first.”

She also stated that she is struggling financially and presently lives in Dubai where she is without a job.

“I’m poor and don’t have money now. What’s the point in calling me now. Punish the real criminals now,” she further stated.

While Rakhi Sawant was asked by Maharashtra Cyber Cell to appear before it on February 27, YouTubers Allahbadia and Ashish Chanchlani have been told to appear on Monday (Feb 24) and record their statements.
