GUWAHATI, Feb 12: The Indian team suffered a massive setback when pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah was declared not fit for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy while Harshit Rana named as Bumrah’s replacement.

But not just Bumrah, there will be a whole lot of other stars, many of them Australian cricketers, who will also not feature in the ICC tournament.

Here’s some of the other star cricketers whose absence will be felt in the tournament by fellow teammates and cricket fans.

Pat Cummins (Australia): The Australian ODI and Test captain will not feature in the tournament following an ankle injury he sustained after the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Former skipper Steve Smith will captain Australia in the absence of Cummins.

Mitchell Starc (Australia): Australia will also be without their main strike bowler Mitchell Starc after he too pulled out of the tournament due to a possible ankle injury.

Josh Hazlewood (Australia): Hazlewood became Australia’s third seasoned seam bowler to not feature in the Champions Trophy following a hip injury.

Anrich Nortje (South Africa): Express South African pacer Anrich Nortje will also not feature in the tournament as he remains sidelined following a back injury.

Marcus Stoinis (Australia): The Australian all-rounder, who has been devastating with both bat and ball in limited-over internationals, will also be a major absentee after he announced his retirement from one-dayers so as to concentrate more on T20 cricket.
