GUWAHATI, Feb 11: At a time when popular YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia, better known as Beer Biceps, Ashish Chanchlani, Samay Raina and two others are facing a backlash for allegedly promoting obscenity, another YouTuber from Assam named Abhishek Kar was summoned and interrogated by Assam Police’s CID following derogatory remarks he had made on women and black magic during a YouTube podcast.
The CID summoned Kar for questioning in Guwahati after his statements sparked a massive outrage, with even Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma expressing his displeasure and directing police to initiate action.

His statement was met with severe backlash from netizens and the people of Assam, who criticized the stereotyping and misinformation about the state’s culture.
The controversy escalated when Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took cognizance of the matter and directed Assam Police to take action.
