GUWAHATI, Feb 11: Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, who arrived in Singapore for a two-day visit on Monday to drum up support for the upcoming Advantage Assam 2.0 Infrastructure and Investment Summit, called on President of Singapore Tharman Shanmugaratnam today.
Terming his meeting with him as “a great honour”, Chief Minister Dr Sarma said “discussions covered ongoing collaborative projects, with a special emphasis on Assam’s role as a key pillar in the India-Singapore Comprehensive Partnership”.

We deeply appreciate Singapore’s partnership in #AdvantageAssam2 and look forward to strengthening our collaboration in emerging sectors such as semiconductors, green energy, and advanced technology,” Chief Minister Dr Sarma wrote on ‘X’ along with photographs of interactions between the two leaders.
He also met several other industry leaders today and is scheduled to enter into discussions with several other industry and business magnates while also inviting them to Advantage Assam 2.0.
Chief Minister Sarma is also scheduled to address a roadshow in Singapore during his stay in the country.
