GUWAHATI, Feb 11: Under-fire YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, who shot to infame following his controversial and obscene comments at the ‘India’s Got Latent’ show hosted by fellow YouTuber Samay Raina, finds himself in more trouble after Assam Police on Monday registered an FIR against him and four others — Samay Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh and Apoorva Makhija — over the ‘obscene’ remarks.
Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, who took to ‘X’, formerly Twitter, said Guwahati Crime Branch has registered the case and that investigation is currently underway.
Guwahati Joint Commissioner of Police Ankur Jain said “strictest measures possible” would be taken, news agency ANI reported.
Mumbai Police has also started investigations against Allahabadia, who is popularly known as BeerBiceps, and visited the studio in Mumbai’s Khar where the show was shot after another police complaint was lodged against the YouTuber.
