GUWAHATI, Jan 24: As various conspiracy theories surface as to who actually stabbed Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra home last week, the statement of the father of the arrested accused where he claimed that his son was innocent and that he only has some resemblance with the attacker who was spotted on CCTV making his way out of the actor couple’s Bandra home has added to the speculation.
Mohammed Ruhul Amin, father of Bangladeshi migrant Mohammed Shariful Islam Shahzad who was arrested on charges of stabbing the Bollywood actor, pleaded for his son’s release, insisting that his son was innocent.
Speaking to news agency ANI over the phone, Md Ruhul Amin said his son was arrested for his physical resemblance with the attacker but said his son was not involved in the attack.
Meanwhile, as conspiracy theories evolve, a few netizens have questioned Kareena Kapoor Khan’s role in the stabbing incident although Police have dismissed the possibility of her involved in the attack on her husband in the wake of a possible argument or quarrel.
Media reports have, however, stated that the reason Kareena did not go to the hospital after Saif was attacked was because she was apparently drunk after coming from a party her friend and fellow actor Sonam Kapoor hosted.
However, there seem to be many unanswered questions which Mumbai police are looking into and are trying to piece together what seems to be puzzles of a jigsaw.
