GUWAHATI, Jan 19: Mumbai Police finally arrested the person who had attacked Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan at his Bandra home in Mumbai early Friday.
The attacker, identified as Mohammad Shariful Islam Shahzad, who is suspected to be an illegal Bangladeshi migrant, was arrested from Kasarvadavali area of Thane city in the wee hours of Sunday.
Police said that the primary motive behind the crime was robbery and that he entered Saif Ali Khan’s residence with the intention of committing burglary.
Police also that that the arrested accused is believed to be an illegal Bangladeshi national since no Indian documents have been found with him, adding that he had illegally entered India and assumed the false identity of Vijay Das.
