GUWAHATI, Jan 17: Fate dealt another cruel blow on promising singer Kamalika Kashyap as she lost her father and acclaimed musician Bhupen Das today.
Kamalika had lost her mother Bhitali Das, known for her almost immortal and superhit Bihu songs, after she passed away following COVID-19 complications on April 21, 2021.
Her father Bhupen Das, who was suffering from diabetes and kidney-related ailments for quite sometime, breathed his last at his residence in Garigaon locality on the outskirts of Guwahati city today.
Several people from the musical industry mourned the demise of Bhupen Das.
The last rites were performed by Kamalika at the Bhootnath crematorium.
