Prized catch: Assam Police seize 1.50 lakh YABA tablets worth Rs 45 crore in Sribhumi

GUWAHATI, Dec 25: Assam Police, in a massive breakthrough, recovered banned YABA tablets worth Rs 45 crore from Hathikhira area of Sribhumi district.

The YABA tablets weighing over 16 kg were recovered from a truck.

One person has been arrested in connection with the seizure.

Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, meanwhile, lauded Assam Police for their relentless crackdown on drugs and psychotropic substance and congratulated them over the mega seizure.

In a source backed anti-narcotics operation carried out by

@sribhumipolice in Hathikhira area, a truck coming from a neighbouring State was intercepted leading to the recovery of 1.5 lakh YABA tablets weighing over 16kgs. One person has been arrested in this regard and further investigation is on. Good job
