GUWAHATI, Dec 18: The Army, in collaboration with Manipur Police, recovered five Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) weighing a total of 21.5 kilograms from Maphitel Ridge area of Imphal East district.
The operation, conducted with precision, relied heavily on the expertise of Eva, the Indian Army’s explosive detection dog, and the Bomb Disposal Squad. The explosives were recovered from multiple locations, underscoring the coordinated efforts of the search teams.
This successful detection and recovery averted a significant threat, preventing potential loss of life and property. Officials emphasized that the discovery highlights the steadfast commitment of the Indian Army and law enforcement agencies to counter subversive activities in Manipur.
“The operation reflects the synergy between the forces and is a significant achievement in our mission to ensure peace and security in Manipur,” a release stated.
