GUWAHATI, Dec 13: Superstar Allu Arjun who was arrested earlier today morning in connection with the Dec 4 stampede at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad and was sent to 14-day judicial remand has been granted interim bail by the Telengala High Court.
Earlier in the morning, a team of police officials from Chikkadpally police station in Hyderabad had arrested the actor from his Jubilee Hills residence and was then taken to the police station for questioning.
He was later produced in court and was sent to judicial remand but was then granted interim bail by Telengana High Court.
A 37-year-old woman named Revathy had died while her nine-year-old son was hospitalised during the stampede-like situation at the famous Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad during the premiere show of “Pushpa 2: The Rule” on December 4.
The family of the deceased woman had lodged a complaint against the actor, his security team and the theatre management following which a case was registered at the Chikkadpally police station under sections 105 and 118(1) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
