GUWAHATI, Dec 10: Rashmika Mandanna and Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa 2’s box office collections worldwide in five days has crossed a staggering Rs 880 crore, reports said, as theatres screening the movie reported house full audiences across the country.
Pushpa 2: The Rule, which released globally on December 5, has enjoyed a tremendous run not only domestically, but also around the world. The film has earned Rs 709.3 crore (gross) at the Indian box office and Rs 171 crore overseas within five days of release. This brings the cumulative worldwide total to Rs 880.30 crore, the Hindustan Times reported.
Pushpa 2 had opened with a historic box office score of Rs 294 crore gross on day one, breaking the record for the highest opening in the history of Indian cinema beating the Rs 223.5 crore on the opening day by SS Rajamouli’s RRR and followed by Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 217 crore), and Kalki 2898 AD (Rs 175 crore), the report further stated.
Meanwhile the movie, the sequel to the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise, maintained its stronghold, adding an estimated Rs 4.1 crore to its collection from just the morning shows, data from the Times of India stated.
