GUWAHATI, Dec 2: Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma today called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and extended him an invite to the Assam Investor & Infrastructure Summit, and the Mega Jhumur Performance to be held in February next year.
Prime Minister Modi, the Assam Chief Minister said, has accepted the invite.
“Today in New Delhi, I had the privilege to receive Adarniya Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji’s guidance on various developmental issues.
On behalf of the people of Assam, I also had the pleasure to invite him to bless the Assam Investor & Infrastructure Summit and Mega Jhumur Performance in February 2025 which he has kindly accepted to grace,” Chief Minister Dr Sarma wrote on ‘X’.
Assam will be hosting the second edition of the investers’ summit in Guwahati with a two-day programme on Feb 24 and 25 next year.
Prime Minister Modi along with the delegates and invited guests attending the summit will also be treated to a special Jhumur performance by 7,500 dancers and artistes from 800 tea estates of Assam.
