GUWAHATI, Nov 29: Paltan Bazaar Police recovered the body of a man from a city hotel named Embassy Hotel Ambassador on Thursday night.
The body was recovered from Room No. 112 after the occupant did not respond to waiters and other hotel staff since yesterday morning.
The body has been identified as that of a person named Anil Kumar, a resident of Delhi, who had checked into the hotel on Nov 26.
The person, an employee of a private company, had been visiting Guwahati regularly on official work for the last four years and, sources said, stayed at the said hotel during his trips to the city.
Police suspect he died of normal health-related issues and that there was no foul play leading to his demise.
The body was sent to the Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) for a post-mortem after which it will be handed over to family members.
