GUWAHATI, Nov 17: Two employees of a bakery were bludgeoned to death in Nagaon town by a fellow worker using a ‘belnamari’, the blunt wooden kitchen utensil used to roll ‘rotis’.

Indrajit Pal fatally hit Uttam Das and Abhijit Pal, all employees of Gauri Bakery located at Shankardev Path in Nagaon town’s Islampatty locality, after a quarrel broke out between them last night.

The accused was apparently drunk and it is not immediately known whether he was consuming alcohol with the victims although police said the trio could have been drinking together.

The owner of the building locked the entrance door after he heard the hullaballo preventing the accused from fleeing.

Indrajit was later arrested by police.
