PUBLISHED:

GUWAHATI, Nov 15: New Zealand pacer Tim Southee will retire from Test Cricket after the end of the home series against England.

Southee, the highest Kiwi wicket-taker in international cricket, will hang his boots at Seddon Park, Hamilton, his home ground.

The New Zealand pacer will, however, make himself available for national duty should the Black Caps qualify for the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final next June.

Southee has till date claimed 385 Test wickets in 104 matches, and is second behind Richard Hadlee in the illustrious list of highest wicket-takers in the longest format of the game.
