GUWAHATI, Nov 13: Assam Police have foiled another bid by Bangladeshi infiltrators to enter Assam by crossing the Indo-Bangla border, apprehending as many as six Bangladeshi nationals at Karimganj.
The Bangladeshi nationals, identified as Tarique Anowar, Dayal Mall, Monu Mall, Shajahan Mia, Jainab Sapuria and Khalimur Mall, were later pushed back to the neighbouring country.
Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, who took to ‘X’ to inform people of Assam about the infiltration bid, congratulated Assam Police on foiling the attempt to cross over to Assam.
