GUWAHATI, Nov 4: Mithun Chakraborty’s first wife Helena Luke, who played a special character in Amitabh Bachchan’s film ‘Mard’, has passed away in the USA on Sunday.
She was 68 years at the time of her demise and was reportedly unwell but did not take proper medical treatment.
Mithun and Helena’s marriage, solemnized in 1979, lasted only four months following which The Disco Dancer star married actress Yogita Bali.
Apart from acting in ‘Mard’, Helena also acted in many other films, ‘Aao Pyar Karen’, ‘Do Gulab’ and ‘Saath Saath’ being the most notable ones.
Helena was living in America for a long time and had also worked in Delta Airlines as a flight attendant.
