GUWAHATI, Oct 30: New polls have indicated that the road to the US presidency is heading for a tight finish with Democrat Kamala Harris and Republican Donald Trump in a neck-to-neck fight.
Polls show the race between the two presidential candidates in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan and North Carolina to be extremely tight with only a week left for Election Day.
The poll by Reuters/Ipsos shows Harris holding a thin lead of 44% to 43% in favour of Trump among 975 registered voters. Harris, incidentally, has been leading in every Reuters/Ipsos poll of registered voters since July.
The New York Times poll of polls national average gives a razor-thin edge to Kamala Harris with 49% versus 48% to Donald Trump.
With 19 electoral votes and no specific tilt, Pennsylvania could well emerge as the deciding factor this election season.
