GUWAHATI, Oct 25: A New Delhi-Shillong SpiceJet flight (SG 2448) made an emergency landing at the LGBI Airport in Guwahati today following an e-mail threat about a bomb being planted in the plane.
The Shillong-bound flight was quickly diverted to Guwahati, moved to a secluded area of the airport and all passengers and cabin crew deplaned after the e-mail was received.
However, after a thorough search, nothing suspicious was found in the plane following which it was ascertained that the threat mail was nothing but a hoax call.

Authorities, meanwhile, have begun an investigation and are trying to zero-in on the person who had sent the e-mail.
