GUWAHATI, Oct 20: The BJP on Sunday released its first list of candidates for the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections. The first list comprises 99 candidates and Deputy Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has been given the party ticket from Nagpur South West seat.
On the other hand, State BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule has been fielded from Kamthi seat.
Meanwhile, Sreejaya Ashok Chavan, daughter of former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan, who had quit Congress party and joined the BJP in February this year, has been fielded from Bhokar.
Maharashtra will go to polls on Nov 20 in a single phase. Results will be declared on Nov 23.
