GUWAHATI, Oct 16: At least three people were killed after a massive fire broke out in a 14-storey residential building at the Lokhandwala Complex in Mumbai Wednesday morning.
The inferno broke out at around 8 am on the 10th floor of Riya Palace building in Andheri area, reports stated.
The fire was doused in an hour’s time, at around 9 am, although the exact case of the blaze is yet to be ascertained.
“Three persons were injured and taken to the Cooper Hospital where doctors declared them brought dead,” a civic official said. The deceased have been identified as Chandraprakash Soni (74), Kanta Soni (74) and Pelubeta (42),” news agency PTI reported quoting civic officials.
Authorities are continuing with providing relief to the people affected by the fire.
