GUWAHATI, Oct 13: Security has been beefed up at the Galaxy apartment of superstar actor Salman Khan following the killing of NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique.
Siddique, leader of Ajit Pawar’s faction of the NCP, was shot dead, allegedly by assailants of the Bishnoi Gang, in Bandra on Saturday night.
Salman Khan had visited Lilavati Hospital late on Saturday night to offer his condolences and meet with the family of Baba Siddique with whom he shared a very close relationship.
The Bollywood actor has been receiving threats from the Bishnoi gang and attempts were made, at least twice, by the gang recently to kill the actor.
In April this year, bike-borne assailants had shot at Galaxy Apartments, allegedly to “scare” the actor on the instructions of Lawrence and Anmol Bishnoi.
Navi Mumbai police in June foiled another attempt to kill the actor following a tip-off that members of the Bishnoi gang were keeping a watch on the actor’s movements.
