Pakistan could managed only 220-9 in their second innings as leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed, who was ill, could not bat.
Jack Leach ripped through Pakistan’s lower order, claiming four wickets.
England had scored a mammoth 823-7d in their first innings with Harry Brook reaching to his triple hundred while Joe Root slamed a career-best 262.
With the defeat, Pakistan became the first team to lose a Test match by an innings after posting over 500 runs in the first innings.
This was Pakistan’s sixth consecutive Test defeat and their seventh loss at home in the last nine matches, highlighting their struggles in the longest format.
