Ensure you have certified solar viewing glasses or handheld solar viewers that meet international safety standards. These glasses should block out harmful ultraviolet, visible, and infrared radiation.

4. Seek out a location with an unobstructed view of the sky, away from tall buildings and trees. Parks, open fields, or hilltops are excellent choices for witnessing the eclipse. Plan ahead to avoid large crowds and traffic congestion.

Things To Avoid On Total Solar Eclipse 2024

1. According to certain religious beliefs, pregnant women are advised to exercise extra caution during the Sutak phase, abstaining from handling knives, scissors, blades, and other sharp objects due to the perceived risk of harm to the unborn child.

2. Never look directly at the sun without adequate eye protection, even during a partial eclipse. The intense solar radiation can cause severe and permanent damage to your eyesight.

3. Looking directly at the Sun through cameras, telescopes, or binoculars, even with eclipse glasses, can result in serious eye injury. The focused solar rays have the potential to harm the eyes.
