Two teachers from Assam who allegedly robbed a Maharashtra government department of Rs 1.20 crore have landed in the police net.
The arrested duo identified as Bashiruddin and Ramen Das, are teachers at the Murajhar Higher Secondary School in Hojai.
According to reports, the teachers took the help of hackers and carried out online theft through the bank account of a person named Rahimuddin .
It has been learnt that several people starting from Hojai to Mumbai were involved in this cyber crime.
A person involved in the investigation said, “Two teachers from Murajhar Higher Secondary Bashiruddin and Ramen Das took the bank account details of Rahimuddin and his son and through this bank account and with the aid of hackers looted a considerable amount of money. Within a very short span of time the money was transferred to many other accounts from the principle account.”
