Trained at prestigious institutions such as the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York and the Art of Acting Studio in L.A., Manasvi Sharma has become a name synonymous with excellence in the world of cinema. Her exceptional body of work includes captivating short films such as Preet and Manpreet, both of which have gained widespread acclaim and recognition at renowned international film festivals.
Preet has taken the festival circuit by storm, receiving the coveted Best Short Film award at the Indian Film Festival of Houston. The film also had the privilege of being showcased at the esteemed New York Indian Film Festival on May 12, 2023, alongside esteemed productions like Banda, Opium, Sana, and Gulmohar. Manasvi Sharma’s talent continues to shine as her short film Manpreet captivates audiences at prestigious film festivals, including the Long Island South Asian Film Festival and the Garden State Film Festival.
Reflecting on her journey, Manasvi Sharma expressed, “From the tender age of 3, I found solace and passion in the performing arts. My love for acting blossomed through my involvement in community folk theatre and school productions. My professional journey began in Bangalore, where I attended acting workshops and honed my skills through improvisation performances. Later, I ventured to Delhi and joined the esteemed Darakht Theatre Company, where we brought captivating productions to life at renowned venues such as Akshara Theatre, Little Theatre Group Auditorium, and the India International Centre.”
Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Manasvi Sharma seized the opportunity to enhance her skills by participating in online classes with Ron Burrus, a former acting teacher at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting. This experience transformed her perspective on acting and life, motivating her to pursue further training at the renowned Stella Adler Studio of Acting. Regarding her forthcoming ventures, Manasvi eagerly reveals, “I am thrilled to be involved in several upcoming short films and commercials in the coming weeks. My aspiration is to portray characters that draw inspiration from real-life experiences and contribute to positive societal transformation.
