Guwahati: Prices of several essential items are on the rise and it is hurting the common man the most. To increase the pain of the common people the Greater Guwahati Dairy Farmers’ Association to hike milk prices by Rs 4 from the month of August 1, 2022.
After the hike, consumers in Guwahati will have to pay Rs 54 for a litre of milk.
Simultaneously, the hike in milk prices will also result in a corresponding increase in the prices of sweets and other milk-based products.
On February 28, Amul announced that it was raising milk prices by Rs 2/litre, resulting in a 4 per cent increase in MRPs. Mother Dairy followed suit, raising milk prices by Rs 2/litre.
