Guwahati: Minister of State for Petroleum & Natural Gas, Rameswar Teli, Niti Aayog Member V K Saraswat, Indian Oil Chairman S M Vaidya, Assam Petrochemicals Limited Chairman Bikul Deka and other senior officials of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) was left embarrassed after a porn clip was allegedly accidentally played in the middle of pilot rollout event of M15 petrol.
The pilot rollout of M15 petrol was held at Tinsukia’s Mirana Hotel.
According to reports, in the middle of the pilot rollout event, an obscene clip started playing on the LCD screen while an Indian Oil official was delivering a speech.
Needless to say, the minister was left embarrassed by the situation and immediately ordered a probe into the issue.
“I was hearing the speech of the IOC chairman and it was only after someone else told me about it that I came to know about it. I have already directed the Tinsukia DC to conduct an inquiry,” Rameswar Teli said after the incident came to light.
Meanwhile, the Crime Branch of Assam police has launched an investigation into the incident and have seized hardware from the event.
It may be mentioned that Indian Oil rolled out its brand new M15 Petrol (15% blend of Methanol with Petrol) in Assam’s Tinsukia district on Saturday.
