Guwahati: Tata is one of India’s most notable electric vehicle manufacturers. Ratan Tata, the founder of Electra EV, which provides EV powertrain solutions to Tata Motors and other automakers, recently received a custom-built electric Nano.
Taking to Twitter, EVBazaar wrote, “Chairman Emeritus of Tata Sons, Ratan Tata, recently took delivery of a custom-made Tata Nano electric vehicle that has been modified using an electric powertrain supplied by Electrodrive Powertrain Solutions Private Limited (Electra EV).”

Electra EV shared a photo of Ratan Tata and his executive assistant, Shantanu Naidu, standing next to the custom-built 72V Nano EV on LinkedIn.
According to Electra EV, a small number of such modified Nano electric cars, or NEOs, are part of the fleet for MotherPod’s all-electric mobility service “SainikPod Sit & Go” in Bengaluru.
The “SainikPod Sit & Go” mobility service was recently launched in Bengaluru by MotherPod Innovations Private Limited, a shared mobility solutions company run by ex-servicemen.
