Delhi-based and Govt-affiliated Civil services coaching institute IQCIVILS IAS ACADEMY, Guwahati located at Sri Kamakhya Tower, Christian Basti, Guwahati declared that 64 students from their current coaching batches cleared UPSC & APSC Preliminary Examination, 2021 (55 students – APSC and 9 students – UPSC).

Firstly, more number of candidates who have been aspiring for the APSC examination will now appear in the UPSC civil services examination as well due to the similarity of syllabus, thereby increasing the number of selections from Assam in the national civil services such as IAS/IPS/IRS/IFS etc.
Secondly, the quality of officers selected through the state civil services examination in Assamnwould be better since the competition in Assam for the final selection in APSC will be among the candidates who have been aspiring for selection in UPSC for the last 3-4 years. It is heartening to welcome the ambitious stand of the Assam Government which will ultimately feature increased number of civil services aspirants in the national civil services ranks and at the same time boost the state civil services.
