Nalbari Medical College will be operational from 2022

Guwahati: The Nalbari Medical College and Hospital will be operational from the next academic year. This was stated by Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday.

Speaking at the formal inauguration function of ‘Anna Mahotsav’ Dr. Sarma announced that the Nalbari Medical College and Hospital (NMCH) will be dedicated to the service of the people in the coming year.

The foundation stone of the Rs. 350 crore (estimated) Nalbari Medical College was laid on January 27, 2019 by then Assam CM, Sarbananda Sonowal. Once completed, it will be the 13th medical college in the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that the medical college will provide better healthcare services to people of Nalbari and its adjoining areas.
