Guwahati: Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, on Sunday, inaugurated the PET-MRI Wing at State Cancer Institute, Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH).
This new PET-MRI wing at the GMCH, the “first of its kind” in the Northeast, has been built at a cost of Rs 62 crores.
Taking to the Twitter Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, “GoA is implementing Distributed Cancer Care Model in the state in partnership with Tata Trusts for providing timely & effective treatment to cancer patients. It aims to create patient-centric cancer institutions to deliver standardized & affordable cancer care”.
