 New serial ‘Anjali’ from today at Rang TV

GUWAHATI: A new Assamese family serial ‘Anjali’ will debut from today at northeast’s number one entertainment channel Rang TV. Directed by Rajiv Barthakur and screenplay/script by Jintu Bhattacharjee, the story of ‘Anjali’ revolves around a joint family and the struggles in the life of the protagonist Anjali, played by Upasana Priyam. Prior to this serial, Upasana had won the hearts of the viewers through her acting in ‘Duti Monor Jonak’, another of Rang TV’s recent production. The episodes of Anjali’ will be telecasted every night at 8:30 PM (Monday to Saturday) and 10:30 PM.

‘Anjali’ has been launched just after the successful completion of another serial ‘Aahinor Abeli’ by Rang TV. The title song is by Aayan and the background score is by Bhagwat Pritam. The editing is by Hrishikesh Das and associate video editor is Ananta Sarma and camera is by Ajit Boro and Nabajit Deka. The make-up is by Mukeshpokhi; dubbing by Dhruba, Dhiraj, Pankaj.

Anjali’s cast includes: Atul Pasoni, Mridul Baruah, Babul Kakoty, Asha Bordoloi, Nilim Dutta, Rakhi Saikia, Achintya Raj Kashyap, Dipankar, Devika Priyom, Nabadeep Deka, Nirmali, Hirok, Rumpa Sarma Bhattacharya, Dikshita Bora, Dikshita Hazarika among others.

Director Rajiv Borthakur is also the story writer for ‘Anjali’ and he had Dhruba Baishya as assistant director. Borthakur is also the director of other popular Assamese serials like Pratigya, Dahan and Sapon for Rang TV.
