M Imkongla Jamir, a lady IAS officer from Nagaland, has been re-appointed Private Secretary (PS) to Union Textiles and Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani.
A 2002-batch IAS officer of the Karnataka cadre, Jamir was first appointed PS to Irani in 2015 when she was then the Human Resource Development Minister.
She will continue to hold the post till July 22, 2020, a Government notification stated.
Imkongla Jamir is a Master’s in clinical psychology from Lady Shri Ram College, New Delhi.
She hails from Nagaland’s Mokochung district.
