GUWAHATI: Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Samir K Sinha has been appointed as the principal secretary to Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday.
Sinha was serving as the principal secretary to the health and family welfare department.
“In the interest of public service, Shri Samir Kumar Sinha, IAS (RR-1994), Principal Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Finance, Health & Family Welfare and Transformation & Development Departments and Additional Principal Resident Commissioner, Assam Bhawan, New Delhi, is transferred and substantively posted as Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Assam with additional charge of Principal Secretary to the Govt. of Assam, Finance Department and Additional Principal Resident Commissioner, Assam Bhawan, New Delhi,” said an order.
