GUWAHATI: Uttar Pradesh Police arrested two men with 20 kilograms of rasgulla for violating COVID-19 guidelines and section 144 CrPC.
Hapur Police said in a tweet that 20 kilograms of rasgulla were seized from the two men, who distributed sweets to gatherings following the announcement of the Panchayat poll results.
The accused have been identified as Brajakishore and Pawan Tyagi.
“Hapur Police arrested two people who violated Covid guidelines and Section 144 of the CrPC to distribute rasgullas among a gathering. 20 kgs of rasgullas were seized from them,” Hapur Police said in their post in Hindi.
