GUWAHATI: BR Ferenga, the former leader of the now disbanded NDFB(S) has claimed that most of the cadres of his faction is with United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL).
“80 percent cadres of NDFB(S) are with UPPL. They want to change the BTC government and come forward to work for the development of all the communities,” said Ferenga.
Meanwhile, in a public meeting at Garubhasa in Chirang district, around 300 members of now disbanded NDFB(S) joined UPPL today.
“They have got UPPL as an alternative. Therefore, hundreds of NDFB and ABSU workers have joined UPPL today,” said UPPL leader UG Brahma.
On the other hand, president of NDFB(S) B Saoraigwra joined Bodoland People’s Front (BPF) today in Chirang. Saoraigwra joined the political party in the presence of Assam tourism minister Chandan Brahma.
