Delhi-based and Govt-affiliated Civil services coaching institute IQCIVILS IAS ACADEMY, Guwahati located at Sri Kamakhya Tower, Christian Basti, Guwahati declared that 64 students from their current coaching batches cleared UPSC & APSC Preliminary Examination, 2021 (55 students – APSC and 9 students – UPSC).

IQCIVILS IAS ACADEMY has been operational in Guwahati since last 4 years and has been consistently providing high-quality civil services education through Delhi-based expert UPSC faculties.

Anuj Singh, MBA, IIT Kharagpur, Founder of IQCIVILS IAS ACADEMY said in an interview with our correspondent that “We are overwhelmed and joyous at the thumping success of our current batch students who displayed hard work and commitment in their first attempt at civil services examination”.

Mr. Anuj further added that since APSC civil services examination pattern is currently similar to the existing UPSC pattern, high-quality UPSC level teaching helps students in cracking not only the national civil services examination but also assures selection in the similar state civil services examination which is relatively easier and more so because of the near similar syllabus.

Additionally, IQCIVILS IAS ACADEMY also provides meticulous coaching guidance on Assam-portion topics which are asked in the APSC preliminary and mains examination by previously APSC interview appeared faculties.

Mr. Anuj stressed on the importance of understanding the twin objectives of the Assam Government’s decision when they changed the APSC civil services examination syllabus in 2019 and made it almost similar to the UPSC pattern. Firstly, more number of candidates who have been aspiring for the APSC examination will now appear in the UPSC civil services examination as well due to the similarity of syllabus, thereby increasing the number of selections from Assam in the national civil services such as IAS/IPS/IRS/IFS etc.

Secondly, the quality of officers selected through the state civil services examination in Assamnwould be better since the competition in Assam for the final selection in APSC will be among the candidates who have been aspiring for selection in UPSC for the last 3-4 years. It is heartening to welcome the ambitious stand of the Assam Government which will ultimately feature increased number of civil services aspirants in the national civil services ranks and at the same time boost the state civil services.

Mr. Anuj further said that “We have already conducted intensive multiple UPSC civil servicesncoaching programs at Assam Administrative Staff College, Khanapara, Guwahati through various government schemes for the last 3 years and are extremely pleased to train talented aspirants of Assam for the elite civil services of India”.

IQCIVILS IAS ACADEMY, Guwahati with a group of more than 30 nationally acclaimed faculties provides regular coaching classes along with updated study material in the form of self- published subject-wise books, current affairs articles prepared from national and state newspapers and magazines important for civil services examination and test series in-line with the latest trend of the civil services examination.

Additionally, answer writing techniques and personality development classes are also provided to bring completeness in the course.

IQCIVILS IAS Academy has launched Mains-specific coaching programmes named “PRATISHTHA” for UPSC preliminary exam-qualified candidates and “RAJSHUYA” for APSC preliminary exam-qualified candidates respectively under the “PRARAMBH” initiative in November, 2021.

Mr. Anuj Singh further said that the institute will continue to provide high-quality civil services education in Assam and has already extended its coaching services to the civil services aspirants of other states in the north-east such as Aruanchal Pradesh, Nagaland, Meghalaya and Manipur.

He further added that “The vision of the institute is not only to increase number of selections in UPSC civil services examination from north-eastern region but also to contribute in overall socio-economic development of the region through provision of high-quality education and ultimately make its students shine at the national stage.”
