63 percent Aadhar Cards issued in Assam so far

GUWAHATI: A total of 63 percent people of Assam have so far registered and received their Aadhar cards, informed  General Administration department minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass on Tuesday.

Today during the ongoing assembly session, Dass in a written answer said that 63 percent Aadhar card has been generated in Assam so far. 

The Minister said that all the Deputy Commissioners have been directed to complete the process of Aadhar generation by 31st of August 2021. Dass said that over 2 crore 25 lakh people have got Aadhar cards in Assam so far while nearly 1 crore 31 lakh population is yet to receive their Aadhar cards.

The minister further said that there are 1,241 Aadhar registration centers in the state.
