Ahead of release of final draft of Assam’s National Register of Citizens (NRC), as many as 52 Bangladeshi infiltrators will be deported to Bangladesh on Sunday. Following discussion with Bangladesh government, the decision has been taken.

Earlier, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday (25th July) during Question Hour in the Rajya Sabha had said, “There has been discussion with Bangladesh on this issue.” These 52 Bangladeshi infiltrators will be deported via Mankachar border through legal procedure.
“The Bangladesh government has agreed, identified and accepted the identity of 52 people as Bangladeshis. So, they have agreed these 52 people including one minority will be deported on July 30 at Mankachar IPC in Assam,” said MoS Home Kiren Rijiju.
