42 lakh BJP members to get 84 lakh voters in 2021 Assam Assembly Election

Guwahati: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Assam will try to get at least 84 lakh voters in the upcoming assembly election in Assam. BJP has already started the campaign targeting people at the grass-roots level.

Assam BJP president, Ranjit Kumar Dass attending a member joining programme held at the BJP head office in Hengrabari area, Guwahati stated that BJP is targeting 84 lakh voters from Assam. If 42 lakh members of Assam BJP can gather at least one voter from their family, the party will get 84 lakh votes in the upcoming election said Dass.

“Already 3.3 lakh prista-pramukh’s are working at the grass-roots level. If every prista-pramukh can convince 50 percent votes then the party (BJP) will surely win in the upcoming 2021 assembly election,” said the BJP Assam president.

Mentioning CAA Ranjit Dass said that many people are trying to portray a negative image of the party using the CAA issue. “During the Panchayat Elections, the same issue was used to defame the BJP party, but not only did we win in the Panchayat Elections we were in the first position. Earlier, many people tried to create confusion by saying that if CAA is passed then one crore people will come to Assam or 50 lakh people are waiting at the border to enter Assam,” said Dass.


It is to be mentioned that Hemanta Kumar Neog, General Secretary, Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) joined BJP along with members of the Bodo People’s Front (BPF), Youth Congress, Assam Pradesh Congress Committee in the joining programme held at BJP Assam headquarters in Hengrabari, Assam.
