The 39th convention of the Assam Association of North America (AANA) has begun in Washington DC. The convention has begun with a Borgeet composed by Srimanta Sankardeva and it was inaugurated by Washington, D.C. senator.
The AANA, since its birth in 1980 in Houston, Texas, has tried its best to provide a forum for its members and to the community in general a platform to meet and share ethos. At least once a year the members of the association gather in Assam Convention, meet friends, share ideas and stories, and see their children enjoy meeting others.
