On the occasion, Baruah said “Time has changed. We were deprived of government support and facilities to continue our sports in our times. But, now the Government, both State and at the Centre has been giving importance on sports. It is a good sign.” Speaking about Assam Express Hima Das, Barua said, “Hima brought laurel to the State and we appreciate it. Now we have to find out more talents like Hima. I am sure there are plenty of talents in the State. But, we are lacking of spotters.”
