Twenty-one Bangladeshi nationals who had entered Assam in the past and were apprehended for violation of Passport Act were deported from the Sutarkandi Immigration Check Post (ICP) in Karimganj district by Border Police today (Jan 19).
The Bangladeshi nationals were handed over to Border Guards Bangladesh (BGB).
Nineteen among the 21 Bangladeshi nationals deported to Bangladesh today are men while two are women.
Earlier in the morning, the foreigners who were lodged at the detention camp in Silchar were brought to Sutarkandi ICP where they were handed over to Bangladeshi authorities.
