GUWAHATI: The COVID-19 count in Assam has mounted to 1216 with the addition of 31 new cases on Saturday night. Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter to announce the new cases which include 20 air travellers and 11 persons from Morigaon district in middle Assam. On Saturday, 159 cases were reported in the State.
At present the number of active patients stands at 1046 with the discharge of 163 patients from different hospitals in Assam. The State has so far reported 4 COVID-19 deaths.
