Guwahati: Guwahati: Assan Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma laid the foundation stone of the 100-bed Maternity & Child Health (MCH) wing at in Barpeta.
Taking to twitter Dr. Sarma said, “Today in Barpeta, laid the foundation stone of 100-bed Maternity & Child Health (MCH) wing at FAAMCH. This project, worth Rs 25.61 cr, shall be a milestone for strengthening healthcare delivery for women & children in the district.”

Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma also laid the foundation stone of Barpeta College and Adarsha Kanya College in Barpeta.
The Minister also took a stock of the current road projects and embankment in the area.
While addressing the media Dr. Sarma said, “We are working for humanity, not for politics. We are moving forward with these schemes with the intention of working for the people of the state.”
