SRK appreciates Assam cop for using his pose for road safety

PUBLISHED:

Almost everybody among us has seen Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan with his customary, trademark pose with his arms wide open. But little did we think about using SRK’s signature pose to come up with a social message.

Jalukbari ACP Ponjit Dowarah, however, thought something different.

He posted a graphic on his Twitter handle on Thursday, with the message: “The universal pose of @iamsrk has touched all down the ages, but please read the message also #FollowTrafficRules @MorigaonPolice @Darrangpol @cachar_police @KamrupPolice”.

And the response was overwhelming with King Khan himself replying to Dowarah’s tweet.

“The best message I think this pose has conveyed. Please please follow traffic rules,” Shah Rukh Khan replied to the Jalukbari ACP’s tweet.

Meanwhile the Twitter handle of Assam Police that has also received much adulation and praise also came up with another message, taking a cue from the Bollywood star’s famous dialogue from the movie ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’.

“Traffic niyamon ka paalan nahin karne se kuch-kuch nahin, bahut kuch hota hai,” the tweet by the Assam Police Twitter handle read.

Assam Police have of late been taking to the micro-blogging site along with Facebook to spread awareness about various social causes, including rumour mongering and road accidents.

Incidentally, Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan’s costar in KKHH, too appreciated a tweet by Assam Police on stalking.

District police units have also been told to use social media to the best possible extent so as to connect with today’s youth and sensitize them on various social ills and illegal and immoral habits.
