News Live reunites lost boy with family through live show

PUBLISHED:

In yet another emotional reunion taken up by News Live, a young boy who accidentally got separated from his mother a year ago and ended up landing in Gujarat was reunited with his family through a live TV show.

The boy named Bikash had been staying at a shelter home for children in Ahmedabad in Gujarat after being handed over to the Gujarat unit of the Child Welfare Committee by police a year ago. Railway Police had found the young boy at a railway station in Gujarat.

The boy had claimed he hailed from Assam and identified his native village as Samguri. However, all efforts to reunite Bikash with his family in Assam failed due to lack of clarity from the young boy on what the name of his village actually was.

Incidentally, a BJP leader named Pradip from Gujarat had shared visuals of the young boy with Assam Finance, Health and PWD Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. The Assam minister, on the other hand, shared the details with chief managing editor Syed Zarir Hussain during his show on News Live Tuesday.

And on Wednesday night, Bikash saw his parents and other family members for the first time in a year on Syed Zarir Hussain’s show ‘Prekhapat’. It was within an hour that based on visuals of Bikash beamed on News Live that his family was traced to Sanmaguri near Hajo.

And it was during the live show that he was reunited with his family members during the live show. Incidentally, News Live and chief managing editor Syed Zarir Hussain had reunited Kishan Upadhyay, an Indian American, with his family after fourty years of separation.
