HSLC/AHM Exam from second week of Feb

PUBLISHED:

The HSLC (Matric)/AHM examinations, 2019, will tentatively begin from the second week of February although the full schedule will be announced only after the Government comes out with next year’s official holiday schedule. This was announced by Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA) after reviewing preparations for the board examination with inspectors of schools, observers and senior SEBA officials.

An approximate 3.53 lakh students will appear in the HSLC exam, 2019, from 857 centres.

Meanwhile, in a significant decision, SEBA has decided to use bar codes in every answer script while also directing invigilators to maintain a detailed record of additional sheets students take.

Invigilators will also need to write their names in full on the answer scripts and not just put in their signatures.

Students will have to use pens with black ink and not blue ink pens as had been the case in the past.

The education board has also made it mandatory for all exam centres to instal CCTV cameras. Examination centres that fail to comply with this directive will not be allowd to hold the examinations.
